Our Services
-
We offer guidance before pregnancy to help women optimize their health, reduce risks, and plan for safe outcomes. This includes education on modifiable risk factors and personalized planning based on medical or family history.
Our preconception services and genetic counseling are provided by Dr. Muller, a dual board-certified OB/GYN and Perinatologist with expertise in reproductive risk assessment and planning.
-
For those with personal or family histories of genetic conditions or multiple pregnancy losses, our genetic counselor explains potential risks, inheritance patterns, and care options.
-
Some pregnancies may require diagnostic or preventive procedures to better understand or manage specific risks. We take time to explain each procedure thoroughly, so you feel informed and supported every step of the way.
Amniocentesis
This diagnostic procedure is performed after 16 weeks gestation using ultrasound guidance to insert a thin needle into the amniotic sac and collect fluid. The sample is used for genetic testing and provides important information about the baby’s health.
Amniocentesis at Aurora is used for prenatal genetic diagnosis of fetal abnormalities, and results are reviewed promptlyduring your consultation.
Cervical Cerclage
A surgical procedure used to reinforce the cervix in pregnancies at risk for early cervical dilation or loss. This can help prolong pregnancy in patients who meet criteria, often based on personal or ultrasound-based risk factors.
